Patients and their families can find valuable, patient-centric information and support at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kidneycareuk.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Kidney Care UK<\/a>.<\/p>\n    <p>We thank you for your understanding and invite you to explore these recommended resources for up-to-date insights and guidance in kidney care and health.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.england.nhs.uk\/patientsafety\/2014\/06\/09\/psa-aki\/\"><strong>Patient Safety Alert<\/strong><\/a> issued in June 2014 by NHS England on standardising the early identification of actual and potential warning stage test results of Acute Kidney Injury (AKI) was for all NHS acute and foundation trusts providing pathology services. Following implementation of the algorithm into the Laboratory Information Management System, trust labs are required to report AKI warning stage test results to the UK Renal Registry. The data-completeness measure is based on the number of warning scores (rows in the submission) which contain ALL of the five key data items (NHS number, Postcode, Date of Birth, Sex and AKI stage).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Detailed data are now reported on the UK Kidney Association website, under the AKI laboratory portals. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The portals can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/ukkidney.org\/audit-research\/data-portals\">here<\/a> and include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The number of AKI episodes reported by each lab by quarter, by AKI stage at the start of the episode.<\/li>\n<li>Summary of AKI data by Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STP\u2019s) \u00a0in England<\/li>\n<li>STP dashboard and AKI rate maps (England)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Archived Content Notice You are currently accessing the Think Kidneys website.
