This study will investigate whether the use of a \u2018risk score\u2019 for patients being admitted can help predict who is at risk of developing AKI. The Think Kidneys Risk Workstream is supporting this important work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This study will be conducted in Medical Assessment Units (MAUs) across the UK by volunteer health care staff. The data will be collected from 12 September to 29 September. The study is supported by the AKI Clinical Study Group and the chief investigator is Professor Lui Forni.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Professor Forni<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAKI remains a serious threat for people being admitted into hospital with some conditions. If we can devise a scoring system to recognise the risk they face, then we can potentially work towards mitigating that risk.
