Over the last two years they have established a Patient Council and are now looking for new members to join. If you are a kidney patient or the relation or carer of a kidney patient, you might like to think about joining.<\/p>\n<p>The Patient Council:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Gets involved in new programmes of work that aim to improve the experience and outcomes for patients<\/li>\n<li>Helps produce new patient information \u2013 leaflets, reports and posters<\/li>\n<li>Supports the UKRR on issues relating to information governance \u2013 how data is managed and used, and patient consent<\/li>\n<li>Discussed new research and survey proposals and use of the Renal Centres\u2019 data<\/li>\n<li>Encourages discussion between patients and clinicians to promote patient involvement in Renal Centres as well as regionally and nationally.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Your commitment to the Patient Council would be attendance and participation at the quarterly meetings (travel costs are met).
