{"id":3883,"date":"2019-04-25T08:17:32","date_gmt":"2019-04-25T07:17:32","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thinkkidneys.nhs.uk\/ckd\/?p=3883"},"modified":"2019-04-25T08:21:00","modified_gmt":"2019-04-25T07:21:00","slug":"valuing-individuals-transforming-participation-in-chronic-kidney-disease-tp-ckd","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thinkkidneys.nhs.uk\/ckd\/news\/valuing-individuals-transforming-participation-in-chronic-kidney-disease-tp-ckd\/","title":{"rendered":"Valuing Individuals \u2013 Transforming Participation in Chronic Kidney Disease (TP-CKD)"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thinkkidneys.nhs.uk\/ckd\/news\/final-report-published-for-transforming-participation-in-chronic-kidney-disease\/\">The TP-CKD programme<\/a> was underpinned by the values of <a href=\"https:\/\/personcentredcare.health.org.uk\/sites\/default\/files\/resources\/what_is_co-production.pdf\">co-production<\/a>, from the programme board level right\nthrough to renal unit level and the partnership between patients and their\nhealthcare professionals.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This way of\nworking brings a wealth of knowledge and information,\nhowever it is also a new concept that for many can pose challenges along the\nway on many different levels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This article describes how\nthe concept of co-production was put into practice throughout the TP-CKD\nprogramme and the key learning that was gained throughout this experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We hope this provides\nothers with further insight and tools to enable co-production, as a way of\nworking, to be adopted by quality improvement and change programmes across the\nhealthcare community.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thinkkidneys.nhs.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/04\/Co-Production-TP-CKD-final-260419.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Read the article now.
