Following input from the renal community KQuIP will be focusing on three priority areas for national quality improvement projects. These projects are all at different stages of development and further details on each one can be found below.<\/p>\n

Transplant First<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Improving access to kidney transplantation. Pre-emptive transplant listing and kidney transplantation rates vary across the UK. Transplant First has been developed in the West Midlands by the West Midlands Clinical Network<\/a>. Read more about Transplant First here<\/a>. Dialysis at Yours: Life fulfilled (DAYLife)<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

DAYLife is the name for the KQUIP improvement project being launched during 2019 with the overall aim of improving the quality and uptake of renal replacement therapy at home. Read more about the DAYLife project here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

M<\/strong>AGIC<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

MAGIC – Managing Access by Generating Improvements in Cannulation. Aiming to reduce variation, improve incidence and prevalence rates, improve patient experience, and reduce complications of cannulation of arteriovenous fistulae and grafts. Work on this project is about to commence with the focus being on education packages in the first instance. This is a joint project between the BRS VA Special Interest group and the Vascular Access Society for Britain and Ireland (VASBI) with KQuIP providing support.
