Through discussion with the regional lead and clinical directors, the region will be working on\u00a0Transplant First<\/a>\u00a0as their main project but have agreed they have capacity to work on\u00a0MAGIC.<\/a><\/p>\n

The KQuIP Delivery Plan\u00a0is a\u00a0simple framework\u00a0where quality improvement capability\u00a0 is developed and delivered in collaboration with\u00a0renal unit\u00a0QI leads and KQuIP’s developmental work stream.<\/a><\/p>\n

23rd April 2019 – MAGIC Staff Education Materials webinar<\/a><\/h4>\n

Katie Fielding, project lead, held a webinar with the QI Leads sharing the staff education tools form the Cannulation Recommendations and the e-learning modules developed by the MAGIC steering group.<\/p>\n

3rd April 2019 – Interim Stakeholder Engagement Day<\/a><\/h4>\n

Unit QI leads were asked to invite their patients and stakeholders to attend the launch of Transplant First and MAGIC. The started with an update from Smeeta Sinha, regional lead, followed by Royal Preston patient Mark Harrison sharing his experiences of both dialysis and transplantation. Each unit involved was asked to present a ‘5 mins of madness’ (present 5 slides in 5 mins). The day ended with a world cafe session with ideas and discussions generated for improvement within the region. On the day 61 healthcare professionals and patients attended form 6 of the renal units within the region<\/p>\n

December 2018- Leadership Programme<\/a><\/h4>\n

The North West completed the Leadership Programme by December 2018, by participating in a two day Renal Shortsmoor Leadership Training on the 28th and 29th November 2018 and one day Leadership into Action on the 12th December 2018.<\/p>\n

18th October 2018 – Are You Ready for Change Workshop<\/strong><\/a><\/h4>\n

To ensure sustainability of both QI projects, QI leads got involved in this workshop performing a self assessment questionnaire and producing a plan of action in preparation for change. The exercise was seen to have a positive impact on the QI leads readiness for change in their unit and organisation.<\/p>\n

31st January 2018 – North West KQuIP Regional Day\u00a0<\/strong><\/a><\/h4>\n

The KQuIP\/ UKRR Regional Day was a one off event on 31st January. It was hosted within the region and brought together the renal community including medical, multi-disciplinary colleagues and patients to consider data provided by the UK Renal Registry, Public Health England and NHSBT with a focus on quality improvement, introducing KQuIP and the three national QI projects.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
