We welcome Paul Cockwell and Sharlene Greenwood as the new co-chairs of the Kidney Quality Improvement Partnership.<\/a><\/p>\n

Paul Cockwell<\/h3>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

Paul Cockwell is a kidney doctor at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham (QEHB) and professor of nephrology (honorary) at the University of Birmingham. He has a long-standing track record in clinical development and quality improvement and has previously been clinical lead for renal services at QEHB and associate director of research for University Hospitals Birmingham.<\/p>\n

Paul is clinical vice president of the UK Renal Association<\/a>, has long-standing research interests (pubmed search \u2018Cockwell P\u2019) and has recently established a strong collaboration with the Centre for Patient Reported Outcome Research at the University of Birmingham, focusing on patient reported outcome measures in kidney disease.<\/p>\n

In his spare time Paul enjoys sports (participating and watching), reading, learning to play guitar (badly), and keeping his two teenage sons in line.<\/p>\n

Sharlene Greenwood<\/h3>\n

Dr Sharlene Greenwood is a Consultant Renal Physiotherapist at King\u2019s College Hospital, Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London University, the chair of the UK Kidney Research Consortium Exercise and Lifestyle Clinical Study Group, and the Vice President of the British Renal Society for clinical development.<\/p>\n

Sharlene has 13 years of experience as a specialist renal physiotherapist. She leads a clinical and research team of 12 therapists, leading on various research and clinical innovation projects in renal, cardiac and physical activity.<\/p>\n

Sharlene is passionate about supporting, and encouraging exercise services for patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. She has a keen interest in Quality Improvement (QI) and as the co-chair of KQuIP, Sharlene is facilitating the implementation of key national QI projects at a regional and national level.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
