And the winner of the Individual Fab Change Champion Award 2018<\/a> is Leeanne Lockley!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

These words resound in my head every day; never in my wildest dreams would I envisage winning a \u2018Fab Award\u2019 presented by NHS England CEO Simon Stevens! \u00a0\u00a0But what does this mean?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These awards are hosted by the Academy of Fab Stuff<\/a>. A social movement platform that allows everyone who has\nmade a change and improvement in their place of work to share their fabulous stuff…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the message you\nrecive on the home page and pretty much ums up its aim and objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As the website has grown, the academy found they needed\nhelp. That\u2019s where I come in; I\u2019m a fab ambassador <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year the Academy of Fab Stuff has a change and\nimprovement campaign where people in health and social care share their good\npractices and learning with others; our motto is \u2018Don\u2019t reinvent the wheel\u2019.\nThis year to tie in with NHS70 celebrations, we had FabCHange70<\/a>. This was\n70 hours of sharing the good stuff that people are proud of changing and\nimproving. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following on from this, we have the annual Fab\nAwards<\/a>. This is an award ceremony like no other. Firstly it\u2019s free, no need\nto pay for a table. The champagne reception and food and wine on the table are\nfree. This wouldn\u2019t happen if not for our fabulous sponsors. Secondly, the aim\nof the awards is fun and celebration of the good stuff that\u2019s happened in\nhealth and social care. And thirdly, all awards are voted by the public. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attending these awards give inspiration, motivation and\nenthusiasm for change and improvement. Senior healthcare leaders are in\nattendance and to have conversations with these people is something that money\ncan\u2019t buy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The award I was given is for the work I am doing at a\nregional level; via KQuIP<\/a>\n(Kidney Quality Improvement Partnerships) and NWFABCAN<\/a>\n(North West Fabulous Change Agent Network). \nI believe people can\u2019t change on their own and I understand the\nimportance of connections and communities. That\u2019s what I\u2019m trying to build in\nthe North West of England. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
