The day was co-chaired by Daljit\nHothi, consultant nephrologist from GOSH, and Kamal Dhesi, patient advocate and\ncarer.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"680\" height=\"510\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thinkkidneys.nhs.uk\/kquip\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/5\/2019\/07\/Paeds-launch.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6089\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>13 renal units from across the UK were represented and\nreceived a whistle-stop tour of the quality improvement approach, presentations\nfrom the co-chairs on the importance of collaboration and leadership for\nsuccessful change, as well as a learning needs assessment to help shape the\nfuture training offered by KQuIP.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The teams then broke out into four project groups \u2013 one for\neach of the KQuIP supported QI projects &#8211; to define goals and objectives,\nprimary measures of success and to establish their project teams and ways of\nworking.&nbsp; The four project areas being worked on over the next year are:\nAccess, Home Therapies, Transplantation and Dietetics.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each project has a lead within the paediatric community who\nwill be working with teams to shape and progress the quality improvement\ninitiatives chosen, and who will be supported by the co-chairs and KQuIP\nProgramme Managers, Rachel Gair and Catherine Stannard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The next KQuIP <\/strong> <strong>paediatric <\/strong> <strong>national meeting will be on Friday October 11<sup>th<\/sup> in Birmingham \u2013 save the date!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Following the national meeting in November 2018, over 60 members of the multi-professional teams, patients and families came together on Friday 28th June in Birmingham to launch the Paediatric Kidney Quality Improvement Partnership (KQuIP).&nbsp;
