Acknowledging that not all patients are comfortable with\naccessing social media outlets, a small team drawn from each of the partner\norganisations worked, virtually, to develop a series of newsletters that are\naimed at being both informative and reassuring. The newsletters are distributed\nacross Wales by the unit managers directly to the patients to read whilst on\ndialysis and take home with them as a reference document.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who was involved in the collaboration?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Welsh Renal Clinical Network (WRCN) has a long history of\ncollaboration with Kidney Charities in Wales and the three main charities,\nKidney Wales, Kidney Care UK and the Paul Popham Fund are represented as\nstanding members of the WRCN Board. It has also been noted that the unit staff have really valued the\nnewsletters as well as it provides an opportunity to interact with patients to\nsupport their overall health and wellbeing.
