The\nnews is full of unlocking but as a \u2018self-shielder\u2019 all the guidance coming out,\nthe new \u2018Bubble Option\u2019, shops opening, golf, Zoo\u2019s &#8211; there is a caveat \u201cnone\nof this applies to the extremely vulnerable.\u201d There was a concession that I can\ngo out for a walk so long as I socially distance, but what if someone without\nface covering or a proper mask sneezes as they go past me, or their dog jumps\nup to say hello, has my luck then run out?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I asked some of my renal FaceBook friends about\ntheir feelings towards going out for walks as the first bit of the new word\n\u2018unshielding\u2019 and 533 responded during a five day period form 6\/6 to 11\/6. The\nresults are below, very rough and ready but a window on feelings:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To the Medics, I hope you are coping and\nthat you have the opportunity to offload and relax.&nbsp; How are you finding your patients, are they\nfearful of coming into clinic, seeing hospitals as high risk, and are they\navoiding contacting their GP? Mine has been brilliant, and the surgery has too,\nbut I have to say going in for an injection was irrationally a nerve- wracking\nexperience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep safe.. and thank you for all your work\nthat directly and indirectly keeps me alive.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Picking up from where I left off last time, and almost a month has passed.
