We are delighted to announce the launch of the PatientView mobile application on the Apple and Google App Stores. This app provides a quick and convenient way for renal patients to access their own healthcare records from a smartphone or tablet.
The initial version includes the most commonly-used features of the PatientView website, and will be followed by regular feature updates and upgrades as the app evolves.

- Follow on-screen instructions to download the app and install it on your device.
- Once your app is installed and opened, enter your usual PatientView username and password. Tap the checkbox to consent to the download of your records, then tap the Login button.
- You will be asked to enter 3 random letters of your secret word. If you don’t have a secret word yet, you will be prompted to create one as this is mandatory for app security purposes.
- The dashboard screen is then displayed, from which you can explore all of the app’s functions.
The Think Kidney’s team hopes this app will enable and encourage wider use of PatientView amongst the renal community, and that patients are able to use it quickly and easily to gain access to information relating to their own health and care.
