After training initially at the University of Southampton Medical School, David’s post grad education includes M.R.C.P. (U.K.), Doctor of Medicine Southampton in 1994 and became and Elected Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians in 1997.

Now, as a consultant paediatric nephrologist at Birmingham Children’s Hospital, David’s special interests are in paediatric renal transplantation, paediatric acute kidney injury, paediatric hypertension, paediatric renal genetic disease. David is the acute kidney injury programme board’s paediatric rep, and is a member of Detection work stream.

David describes himself as a convert to IT who always feels left behind and he always turns his phone off when he’s not working (apparently he relies on his wife to keep him connected) . Great idea David!
