Ron is CEO of the UK Sepsis Trust and Global Sepsis Alliance and is Clinical Adviser to the Think Kidneys programme. He is a consultant in critical care and anaesthesia.

Ron began his clinical training in Birmingham and moved on to London and Edinburgh and his special interests lie in sepsis, patient safety, critical care and systems change. He is a recognised world expert in sepsis and lectures internationally. Ron is passionate about his work and said that it’s his love of his work that gets him up in the morning.

What Ron also admits to us is that his guilty pleasure when it comes to music is McFly! A keen skier and cyclist, Ron likes gadgets with four wheels but couldn’t imagine life without his smart phone – we understand that.
