Tom Blakeman

Tom is a GP and Clinical Senior Lecturer in Primary Care, as well as Lead for Kidney Health Programme, NIHR CLAHRC for Greater Manchester. He is interested in implementation research, with a focus on developing evidence-based interventions grounded in an understanding of routine clinical practice. Between 2014 and 2017, he was Co-Chair of the Think Kidneys Intervention workstream, leading the development of Best Practice Guidance: Responding to AKI Warning Stage Test Results for adults in primary care.

Outside work, Tom enjoys a game of squash. Family cycling trips, possibly at Golden Bay in New Zealand would be his ideal getaway.
